China is threatened

China wants to break India. Break it into 20-25 different countries by taking support of Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and by supporting ULFA in Assam. The article on a Chinese website is enough to enrage any patriotic Indian, including me. However when one delves deep into the key reasons that would drive China to pursue such path, the anger levels come down as all China is trying to do is maintain its supremacy in the Asia region.

While India is still lagging far behind from China in most aspects including economy and infrastructure, the Chinese still are aware of India's true potential and have been keeping a close eye on the slow but steady progress that India has been making. China went on war with India in 60's to teach India a lesson and to show them their true place as compared to China. The war was a huge success for China and an even bigger wake up call for India.

While in today's scenario, China cannot wage a direct war on India to show its true place, it surely can resort to breaking the true strength of India, which lies in its diversity. There is barely any nation on this planet where language, soil, landscape, culture and food changes every 1000 Kms. The article on the Chinese website says that Hinduism is the only religion which is the main common factor between all states and besides that there is no other factor that unites the country.

It is true that oppression of minorities and the weaker sections of the society was and is rampant in our country, and is one of the main reasons for our under development yet. This is a fact that the Chinese think tank understands very well and is hence making progress in implementing its plans.

History, today I believe is the most important tool that can come to India's rescue. A reminder of how our country has emerged from the ashes and threats of our neighbours in the past 100 years, will go a long way in waking the conscience of the average Indian and make him realise his duty towards our nation. By nature, most of us are patriotic by heart and get goose bumps whenever we listen to the National anthem, but that is not enough and we all know that.

Upholding the basic values of humanity and the progress of our society, both civic and morally, is the contribution that each one of us can make. This alone will form a society that will thwart the efforts of any China which clearly is threatened by the progress that India is making and by the significance that it has achieved on the global map.

The nation has once again called its children to stand up to this proxy war and building a national character is the need of the hour.

Time for Karma

It is only in times of hardships and challenges, when an individual finds himself not sailing through smoothly, one realises that its time for him to rise up to the occasion himself. Many of us, all through our lives have been lucky or blessed enough to have been rescued to safety in dicey situations and all our lives we live with the knowledge that no matter what, we will be taken care of, we will not be made to suffer.

But even for the most staunch believers, there comes a time when the feeling seems to drift and the realisation of facing the issue head on dawns on the individual. Its as though God himself is telling him to make that effort, face the situation in the best way he can. I guess this is the call of Karma that a human must accept in order for him to put to test his very faith, to which he has clung on to for his life time.

Besides realising the urgent need to make amends and take things in one's own hands in troubled times, it is also important to not lose faith in God and keep attributing all actions to him and wait for the tide of time to turn.
